Quick Lean and fit But is it safe

We all dream of the good life and then go for luxurious living if and when we are able to achieve our dreams. The first casualty in this pursuit is the lack of all movement except for brushing our teeth and starting the car. Walking up to the car is a dire necessity and no one has yet found a solution to that. So we spend our hard earned money on good eating and soon we realize that we are gaining weight.  Unfortunately there are so many other weighty things on our minds that require immediate and undivided attention that weight watching becomes the least important topic of all. Slowly and gradually, without realizing it our bodies cange until we wake up one day and find that the woman or man who was earlier so attracted to us has started paying court to somebody else. This takes us straight to the full-length mirror and what we see there leaves us aghast. This is only the good part of the story. There is also the possibility of aches and pains that, when explored more minutely with the help of our doctor, come out to be a series of complications that need to be attended to without delay.

One way or the other, it is disaster. The body is asking for its pound of flesh. It clearly signals that it has had enough and all the misuse it has suffered must now be paid for by thinking lean. So, the clever human brain takes a shortcut. It childishly concludes that the culprit is the extra fat. The dreams cannot be put on the back burner, so the fastest and most convenient method is soon found, no matter if it kills us. When will it become clear to us that we cannot cut the branch we are perched on?

Here the fat burners make theirentry. It is a fascinating concept that all we need to do is pop a pill and all is put all right again. It’s nothing but a marketing ploy used by the sellers of these products. The truth is quite bitter.  Once the fat has accumulated on the hips, it is very difficult to get off. Drastic dieting makes one sick and weak. Exercising is difficult to incorporate in one’s life style. So giving fat burners a try becomes doubly attractive. Alas, nature moves at its own pace. Any movement or activity that fights this pace is going against this basic principle and some tear and damage is absolutely certain. Damage serious enough to even be fatal.

The vast majority of fat burners are simply garbage. Their marketing is the only thing scientific about them. They either don’t have the ingredients they are supposed to have or have ingredients that may or may not have anything to do with fat loss. A simple, effective, but potentially dangerous combination was a dose of caffeine, ephedrine and aspirin. The side effects of this combination could cause hypertension and a dramatic increase in blood pressure, which could lead to insomnia. All these could eventually make you irritable, intolerant, and intolerable. Calculate for yourself the harm this could do to you health-wise and life-wise. A continued regimen would certainly make a mess of your nerves. You will end up with shaking hands or sleepy eyes and your focus and attention will waver. Try driving with these symptoms and you’ll certainly end up having a losing argument with a tree or pole.

All the above three products are diuretics and will wash most of the B vitamins out of your body, and excess loss of fluids will eventually also remove your stock of calcium, vitamin C, and the minerals that go with them. The complications that may ensue can only be imagined. Not a single cell of your body would remain unaffected.

So what will it be? Appearances or good health? Choose with care!

When will it become clear to us that we cannot cut the branch we are perched on?
