The association has been launched with the view to promote the interests and progress of aspiring lawyers as well as anyone from different professional backgrounds who share the same zeal for community building and development of the nation at an exponential level. The aim is to serve as an educational forum and as an active voice for the legal community of our diverse country.

ILA has been formed to shape the future of the legal profession of India. In order to act as an ally and advocate for the members, ILA is committed to enable opportunities for quality professional development, support the enhancement of quality in the legal profession, promote the delivery of justice, facilitate effective law reforms, and advance the rule of law throughout India.

ILA GROWTH SO FAR…

ILA has already been launched in 100+ cities with over a 100 chapters who have their designated chapter president holding the office for a period of 1 year on rotation.

The centerfold of ILA as an association is to have its own path of operation, which is unlike others. The emphasis that has been given to regular meetings and events throughout all chapters has been done so that the bridge of communication remains undisturbed. The chapter meetings are held on every 3rd Thursday of the month and the chapters have free reign to decide how and when they want to conduct any seminars or events. The events have played an important role in spreading word about the association as well as to help bridge the gap that exists within the law profession and offers valuable opportunities for lawyers and other entities to establish a strong networking platform, these events are a stage to brainstorm into both legal and social issues that have an impact on society. These events help the chapters to focus on the issues surrounding their city in particular so more work can be done internally to improve the external outlook.The ILA Thane Chapter recently had their chapter meeting in the month of August where the attendees primarily focused on the introduction and background of ILA as it was their first official meeting for the thane chapter as well as the different programs that can be organized in the city of thane and its surrounding area to get more and more candidates interested in joining the association. The ILA Pune Chapter had their meeting where the agenda was to create a plan of action for the next 4months that from August to December so that the chapter can adhere to the objectives of the organization and function in a systematic way for enhancement and success. The Pune chapter has taken the step of introducing compartmentalization in the group itself, they are taking up matters related to civil law, property law, IPR law etc.  Separately so that maximum amount of laws can be covered with minimum time wasted. ILA held a successful Delhi Chapter Meeting on 16th August’18 where our agenda for the meeting was a discussion on the Draft Personal Data Protection Bill 2018. The ILA Greater Noida Chapter held an event at Maharishi Law School, Maharishi University Of Information And Technology Sector 110 Noida.Mr. NavneetChugh, the founder president of ILA, hosted the event and he addressed the students to have an interactive session about law and its future in India.

These events are solely based on interactions and creating networks wherein the individuals who belong to different areas of the profession can get together and conjoin their inputs and expertise for the betterment of society.

The standout feature that sets ILA apart from any other organization is the sheer amount of importance that has been given to networking and physical gatherings to increase the interconnectivity of the members from different walks of life. It is an essential element of ILA to create interconnected vines so that independent councils, organizations, corporates and associations can join the root cause of ILA.  The association has already conducted numerous mini-conferences held by chapters of the various cities to take the initiative forward. It is our endeavor to make ILA the world’s largest organization for Legal Professionals and we have made successful strides in that direction.

In continuation to our effort and further our mission, we are proud to announce our first ever Annual National Conference from 20^th to 22^nd December 2018 at Taj Palace, New Delhi,

We are thrilled to unite the legal community in a fantastic conference. This is indeed going to be the biggest lawyers conference across India that you will witness. We have also finalized an exciting set of panel sessions and activities to keep our participants engaged. ILA CON 2018 will provide our guests a fantastic 3-dayevent to great entertainment, food, musical nights and inspiring sessions with top tier speakers.

We will have speakers from different sectors in law, business, government, and academia to influence and empower our guests. We will also welcome many dignitaries at the event including people from the ministry, general counsels and top law firms of India.

The annual conference is being held in keeping the need for social contact on a larger scale. The annual conference shall be deemed as the marquee event and will attract over1300 delegates all across India.  The objective here is to get the river flowing in terms of academic and law discussion on current trending topics that would benefit the society as a whole.

The core of the discussions will take place through a series of 30panels hosted by eminent lawyers, judges, environmentalists, corporates as well as tier 1 law firms which will cover the topics of the need of corporate governance, competition law, environmental law which is the most upcoming law and the need of the hour, legal aid as well as crimes against women.

These panels have been carefully designed to focus on the upcoming as well as current laws that are being introduced time and again with their growing need.  We as citizens of the nation can agree at large that many changes have to be bought about the legal system in India to promote healthy growth of the individuals who are spread across the nation.One of the panel sessions shall be focusing on the much-needed legal reforms, which need to be made for crimes against women, as it’s a black hole for Indian law.Panels will focus on other topicslike Legal Aid, Arbitration, Third Party Litigation Funding, Investment Private Equity, RERA, Corporate Governance among others.

To compliment the mass outreach of the conference, ILA is partnering up with numerous law universities in order to bring together the vice chancellors, deans, teachers and law students, in unity to begin a dialogue for positive transformation of the law community.

The efforts that every president of the 100 chapters, is making is truly commendable. They are going all out in their initiatives to encourage lawyers to participate in the event, from even the grassroots of India, to bring each person to closer their core mission – a positive transformation in society.

The conference will also feature an award ceremony for recognizing the hard work and goals that have been achieved by such highly acclaimed law firms. There will be a provision for awards for the recognition of law universities across the nation that have truly changed the game when it comes to law education, these universities need to be given credit where its due and need to be awarded the same. We will also end the event on a light note full of entertainment, food and music!
